Our clients are encouraged to adhere to the following pre-consultation advice in order for us to provide a full and thorough consultation for you. This advice also applies to clients returning for follow up treatments.
PREPARING FOR LASER TATTOO REMOVAL CONSULTATIONS AND TREATMENTS:
Important - Avoid exposing your tattoo to the sun!
The tattooed area you wish to remove must not be tanned when you arrive for your appointment. It is important that we assess your skin in its natural condition. To enable us to proceed with a treatment the tattooed area of your skin must not have been exposed to the sun for a minimum of 4 weeks to 6 weeks previously in the area to be treated. We are unable to treat tattooed skin that is tanned.
If in doubt please use sun screen protection on the tattoo using a minimum of SPF50 for 4-6 weeks prior to your appointment to ensure your skin is in its natural condition.
Important - Are you using any of the following medications?
Best practice guidelines prevent us from providing laser treatments to any clients who are using, or have recently used, any of the following medications: Roaccutane, Amiodarone, Steroids or St John’s Wort.
Important - Avoid using sunbeds
We ask that clients also refrain from using sunbeds for a minimum of 4 weeks to 6 weeks before their appointment. Again, in order to be treated your tattooed skin must be in its natural condition and should not be tanned.
Important - Using fake tanning and gradual tanning products
To ensure your tattooed skin is in a natural condition to allow us to provide treatment; fake tan and gradual tanning products cannot be used for 14 days prior to your appointment.
Important - Preparing your tattoo for treatment
Please ensure your tattooed skin is clean and carefully shave the tattooed area to remove any body hair in advance of your appointment. 24hrs in advance is ideal. Thank you.
